The Bible

I’m talking about the documentary on the History Channel right now.

I sat down a couple of hours ago to watch it. Because I’ve been doing work off & on, and doing a few things around the house, I’m only up to Sarah being told she’s going to have a child. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the rest of it, though. It’s been good, so far, I think.

Perhaps I’m so intrigued by this because I’ve been looking forward to it. I’ve been enjoying my own bible study so much, and very much looking forward to reading new stories every day. I’m following the One Year Bible reading plan, and I think once I finish the first time, I want to do the chronological plan.

I really think I’ve learned a lot in the past few months. I started this plan last year, and I’m so far behind where I want to be, but I do enjoy the time spent in quiet, reading.

The other morning, I was sitting at the table and Bear asked me, “Mama? Doin’?” I told him I was reading my bible & his brows furrowed together & he shouted, “NO! BIBLE!” at me. Obviously, my attention was required elsewhere.

If you’ve watched The Bible, what are your thoughts so far?

Hello, 2013.

Okay, so it’s been three days.

Three days of the new year & I’m already done with it.

Okay, well. Yesterday, I was done with it. Today has been significantly better.

I slept last night, and that was honestly a huge help. The book I’m listening to doesn’t make me completely sick, but the one I’m reading is seriously squicking me out. It’s getting better, though. My knitting is really going well. I ran on Tuesday, but haven’t since then.

I know, lame.

I’m looking forward to building my faith in the coming months. I’m looking forward to reading more, knitting more, running more. I’m looking forward to one on one dates with my babies, a few dates with my husband, and lots of time with my friends. I’m looking forward to a year with no big health problems [fingers crossed & God willing].

I am not looking forward to potty training. Or three, a second time. But I’m definitely looking forward to five. I’m looking forward to seven [and eight, nine, ten, and beyond].

I am not looking forward to laundry. Or dishes. But I’m definitely looking forward to making our house more of a home.

I think 2013 is going to be our year.

For the past week, I’ve been scouring the internet, looking for recipes.

Recipes that focus on vegetables, fruits, beans, etc.

Recipes that will keep my body fueled while I work on my spirit.

For 21 days, I will be participating when my church does a Daniel Fast.

It’s something I’m looking forward to doing.

It’s something I feel as though I need to do.

It’s a great way to ring in the new year.
