Flustered & Forgetful

It will forever drive me crazy when I know I have a quality post in my head, but don’t get to write it down before I forget. I should probably start taking notes on my phone, but that would require effort. And usually, my best post ideas come to me in the shower or while driving. I don’t think I have to explain to you why I shouldn’t be taking notes on my phone in either of those situations. Right?

Right.

I think this is all part of being a mom & having mommy brain. And I really do have some great ideas for posts, but they’re going to be saved for another day, because most of them involve things I have to think about before putting down. Not that I care if I offend anyone – because this is my blog – but I do think they’re sensitive topics & should be handled with kid gloves.

Hooboy, are you confused yet? I sure am.

That being said, it’s been a while since I’ve done a Top 5 Laughs post. These are the things I can remember from the past week, but there isn’t much. At least, I don’t think there is.

  • Bear has been throwing tantrums lately. Massive, snotting, ugly tantrums. As I was talking [via text] with a couple of friends yesterday, this happened:

Clearly that should have read THEN he yelled at me…
  • I ran outside for the first time in a long time the other day. I explained to Butter what I’d done & he immediately insisted he come with me next time. Which would be cute, if he could focus on any given task for more than five seconds. He’s adorable, but I’m slow enough without a four year old tagging along.
  • Bear has been wearing the same socks for three days. THREE DAYS, PEOPLE. They have monkeys on them, and he refuses to take them off. Except for the first night when he got a bath. But he threw one of those epic tantrums until I put them back on.  He’s also been throwing tantrums over bibs. Heaven help you if you take off one of his bibs & he doesn’t approve of it. I have learned my lesson there, however. Let him pick out a new bib before you take off the other one. It’s saved me at least one headache. Or maybe half of one. Those socks have seriously got to go. Today.

And I think that’s all I have. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

  1. Noah was like that over a pair of socks, too. Luckily I found enough for him to wear 5 days a week. Kids are so weird.

  2. Haha- you are welcome for free birth control-LOL! He has sock obsession. So much like me, when I have a favorite- I always love to wear it! Cute laughs! Hope you had a great weekend!
