Frozen Grapes
You know how you can buy a huge amount of grapes at a place like Costco? Our family loves fruit, so I tend to buy things there. It’s four pounds of grapes. I got pretty angry when I bought one container of grapes there and we ate maybe a third of them before they went bad. I hate wasting money, and I learned this in college, so I started freezing our grapes. The bonus is that the three of us who can currently eat them, love them, so I do this all the time. In fact, we rarely have unfrozen grapes any more. Unless we buy the small containers at Wawa that include cheese and crackers.
Anyway. First, I clean the grapes. [The thing they're in is actually a part of my fridge. I also use a regular colander from time to time.]

The I measure them out in one cup servings. I use a Pampered Chef prep bowl to measure them out, just because it’s easier for me to handle.

Pour them into plastic baggies, throw them into the freezer, and voila! You have frozen grapes!

I got ten bags out of this container, but I usually get more. I used part of the fruit for a chicken salad I made for our Easter Egg Hunt lunch yesterday. Here’s a bonus shot for you. Butter, enjoying a snack while he watched TV the other day.

Frozen grapes are a yummy treat! Another thing to try is frozen bananas – peel the banana and wrap it in foil first, then freeze. – Also really great in shakes, they add a creamy texture.

I’ve heard frozen grapes are a tasty treat, and my mom swears by them, but I’ve never tried it. Do you dry them before you freeze? I’m envisioning frosty/icy grapes otherwise, and I’m just wondering how that affects taste.
Loved that bonus pic too!

With 3 kids, a busy household and too many complaints about not having snacks…this is BRILLIANT! I can tuck these away and will always have a quick snack. LOVE it….

What an awesome idea, I love it! My kids love eating frozen blueberries, and are at the point where they prefer them to the fresh ones for some reason, so I’m thinking they’ll love this idea. No longer do I have to worry about the fine balance between buying too many grapes and not enough.

I always loved frozen grapes, but the only time I’d ever get them were at the state fair. I’d enjoy every last bite. I’ll have to make some of my own this year =)

I don’t dry them before I bag them. It doesn’t seem to affect the taste at all. Good luck!

Try rolling them in sugar-free strawberry jell-o powder before freezing. Warning: you will become addicted and have to take stock in grapes!
