I saw my neurosurgeon today.
He says I don’t have to go back to see him, but he’d like to hear from me every once in a while to update him on how I’m doing.
So far, the only residual thing I’m feeling from the surgeries is a bit of difficulty coming up with words when I’m tired. That’s normal, though. I’m cleared to start running again [I just have to stay hydrated]. My incision sites look really good, according to Dr. Zager. He mentioned something about how well they healed, but I don’t pay that much attention to them, so I wouldn’t notice.
I’ve already e-mailed Dr. Messé about when I should have the follow up MRI done. [Six months from the second procedure, so Julyish.] I go back to see him in August.
I’m thrilled, you guys.
To hear that I’m doing well from people not my family? From medical professionals? That’s a big positive step in the right direction.
Does this mean I won’t freak out a little when a headache lingers for a few minutes too long? Not at all. As a matter of fact, I got a bad headache on Tuesday and started to panic a little. Then I remember I have a cold and it’s likely related to my sinuses. Dr. Zager agreed.
Thank you for listening to me talk about this for the last year. I feel like this stuff is finally – kind of – over.
That is wonderful news! I am so happy to hear that you are doing well!
YAY YAY YAY!
This is GREAT news. There is something so important about hearing it from someone who is not closely related to you. YAY!
Yay!
