Learning to Pick My Battles

For the most part, I like things a certain way. I don’t like to be uncomfortable [but really, who does?] & I resist change like a cat resisting a bath.

I’m learning to pick my battles, though.

It’s not going as well as I’d hoped.

So, My Kids Like Water.

It’s funny¬† how it was cold enough to forecast snow in Delaware and we spent part of yesterday at Blizzard Beach.

And I think, according to my kids, Disney World is not the Happiest Place on Earth.

No, that would be the tub in their grandparents’ room here.

Saturday’s Top 5 Laughs

I can only think of one I kept track of this week, because it’s been a tough week for us. Maybe next week, with the birthday party for my almost four year old will bring some more!

Monday night, Butter went potty on the powder room floor. It was an accident, but because I stepped in it when I went to go myself, I was livid. After I cleaned it up and sat back down on the couch, Butter asked me if I was happy. I told him no, but he was forgiven because he’d apologized. He gave me a hug and said, “My hugs are magic. Look Pop, Mommy’s happy now!” Obviously I couldn’t stop laughing. So maybe his hugs really are magic. Hmm…
