Time flies….

I’ve started & not finished several posts here since my last one. Talking about things like Butter’s first “real” snow day [March 2], how we never got to take him out in it because every time that was a “good” time, one of the three of us was sleeping, how our cleaning list isn’t going nearly as well as I’d like it to, and how last weekend, my baby needed to wake up because I had work to do & I’d done everything I could think of around the house while he took at 2.5 hour nap [if you’ve met Butter… He doesn’t do that. We get 30-60 on a good day].

Now I’m struck with a case of insomnia & have done pretty much everything I can think of to do on the internet save writing here. So, here I am.

Butter turned 8 months old on Tuesday. He looks like a little boy now. I’m not sure when that happened, but it has! He is too mobile for his own good! He is crawling backward & so very close to going forward. He’ll get up on his hands & knees & just rock back & forth until his knees creep up a little, then move his hands. He’s also a pro at rolling around until he can get back up to crawl backwards to whatever it is that he wants. He’s got 6 teeth & loves to use them. His new favorite thing to do is bite down on his spoon like he’s trying to bite through it. It’s cute, until he does it every. single. bite & makes it hard to feed him. He’s doing well on feeding himself puffs & some of the teething cookies that I made him last weekend. He loves Zwieback toast, too! We’re slowly introducing the sippy cup & we’ve learned that he doesn’t care for it if the handles are attached. Take them off & he’s a happy little guy. He can hold his bottle up all on his own… Only I think we need to get him a physics tutor – if he’s lying on the floor eating, he tries to roll over & look around.

I think I’m going to try to get some sleep. I have no idea what’s leading to the insomnia, but I would love for it to go away.

Here’s the 8 month old big boy!
