Saturday’s Top 5 Laughs

Let’s see if I kept track better this week….

5. Monday night, I turned Jeopardy! on. Butter randomly said, “Jeopardy! That’s just what I needed!”

4. M was gracious enough to let me sleep late on Wednesday. When I finally got downstairs around 11 a.m., Little Bear was so excited to see me, he smiled and fell on his face in his haste to crawl over to where I was standing.

3. In other Little Bear news, we were lounging on the couch on Wednesday and he bit my big toe. I didn’t know he had my foot near his mouth until he bit down, and I jumped and yelled so loudly I scared him. Poor baby!

2. Butter was standing right next to me one day this week. LB was napping, so I knew the odor I smelled wasn’t a dirty diaper. I asked Butter if it was him, and he shook his head. He blamed it on his brother. He’s learning awfully early!

1. Thursday, M came home and made Butter lunch. All of a sudden, Butter says, “Pop, you know what makes me sick?” M asked him what he meant, and he said, “Mommy’s cooking!” Gee, thanks kid. See if I ever make you mac & cheese again!

1. What’s the oldest piece of clothing in your closet? It’s a toss up between shorts I’m pretty sure I got in fifth grade for cheerleading try outs [what?] and the sweaters my mom made my Sugar to wear when she got cold in church.

2. How many random blog readers have you met? Um, none that I know of.

3. Do you let your kids stay up till midnight on New Years Eve? (Or, if you don’t have kiddos yet, did you get to stay up until midnight as a child?) No way. Not yet, anyway. Though at the rate we’re going, LB will probably be up anyway. Have I mentioned I hate teething/ear infections?

4. What are the gas prices where you live? Depends on where you go. I tend to get gas at our BJ’s because it’s usually about 10 cents cheaper than the closest station to us. I go half a mile out of my way to go there. It was $3.15 at BJ’s on Tuesday, when I filled up. Last night, driving by our local Exxon, it was back up to $3.29.

5. What is one resolution that you know you should do but are too afraid to try? To run better/more this year. Or to take a photo every single day this year. They’re both going to be difficult, considering my second surgery is January 6.

It’s Not Thanksgiving. . .

But I’m incredibly thankful.

I had grand plans for what I was going to come to here to write about this morning.

And then it all went out the window.

I just need to acknowledge how amazing my friends and family have been this [and every!] year. There are far too many of you to name, but thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. There is nothing I can do that will ever be enough to properly thank you.

So, guys? Give me some ideas. Because I will be trying to think of things to do or say for the rest of my life.

I’m so lucky to have you.
